Human Sexuality Course Offered The Committee on Human Sexuality is sponsoring a lecturediscussion series on "Topics in Human Sexuality". It is agreed that the University has a key role in providing accurate information and expert leadership which enables students to make responsible choices when questions to human sexuality arise. To meet this responsibility, the Committee on Human Sexuality offers an excellent noncredit course which confronts and achieves effective solutions for society's sexual problems. Miss _EUyn Carroll, Asst. to the Dean of Student Affairs, stated that "a college education has an obligation to proyide students with an increasing body of knowledge concerning themselves, other human beings, and their relationships. The program involves attending seven lectures (one each week and the discussion concerning the topic following each lecture. Paterno's Squad Faces Big Game US, Syracuse University Park, Pa., Oct. — Penn State and Syracuse will renew one of college football's best rivalries on Saturday, October 16. A capacity crowd of approximately 42,000 is expected at Archbold Stadium in Syracuse, N.Y. for the 49th game in a series that started in 1922. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m. Syracuse spoiled Penn State's Homecoming Day celebration last year with a 24 - 7 victory at Beaver Stadium. The Lions will have the opportunity to even the score. Saturday's game is the feature of Syracuse's Homecoming Weekend. Penn State and Syracuse have played every year since 1922 with the exception of the 1943 season. The Nittany Lions hold a slim 22 - 21 edge in victories. There have been five ties. Lion Harriers Upset Villanova . .UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., Oct. - Penn State's cross country team upset Villanova, the defending NCAA and ICAAAA champions, on the strength of outstanding team work and senior Greg Fredericks' first place finish. A cross country and outdoor track All-American last season Fredericks finished some 100 yards in front of the Wildcats' premier distancemen Marty Liquori and 1970 ICAAAA champion Donald Walsh. Fredericks who edged Walsh in the 1968 ICAAAA freshman championships, earned All-American honors last year with a fourth place finish in the NCAA meet. He also was second in the ICAAAA and fourth in the USTFF championships. During the outdoor track seasonFredericks won both the three-mile and six-mile, titles at the ICAAAA meet and placed second iu the NCAA three-mile to gain track AU-American recognition. Intramural Teams Continue Action This year the Behrend Intramural flag-football program has gotten off to an exciting start, boasting an eleven (11) team lineup. This line-up includes 6 tough dorm teams, 4 rugged commuting teams and featuring a well rounded faculty team.. This is the second week of competition among the teams and Mr. Stoner, flag football organizer, seems to think the outstanding teams this year are the Mystics from 3rd floor Lawrence and the Bud Brigade made up of commuters; however, early statistics also indicate the Trojan Rubber Company from 2nd floor Lawrence might have championship potential as a team. The championship game is scheduled for November 3 and will feature the winners of the Dorm and Commuting League. The league games are held at the Behrend Arena next to the parking lot in front of Erie Hall. Sadly enough however, due to the large attendence at the games, seating space is very . crowded so most of the audience has to stay in the standing r...

World Series Outlook At the time of this writingthe Baltimore Orioles lead the Pittsburgh.Pirates two games to one. I think the Orioles will go on to win the World Series. The Robinson boys, big BoogMerv Rettenmund and four 20-game winners, form the best team in baseball. In the first game, Dave McNally flipped a 3 hitter, as Baltimore topped the Bucs 5-3. All three Pirate runs were unearned, thanks to the sloppy play of Belanger and McNally. Doc Ellis was ineffective. Two bad pitches to Frank Robinson and Merv Rettenmund cost Ellis the game. Game two was a farce. Baltimore humiliated the Pirates 11-3 Pittsburgh's relief pitching was abominable, as Bruce Kisson and Bob Veale walked Oriole pitcherJim Palmerwith the sacks filled. The only excitement for the Buc fans was Hebner's home-run. Game three was all Steve Blass. Blass who looked bad against.the Giants in the playoff, pitched a masterful 3-hitter. His only mistake was a home-run pitch to Frank Robinson. Bob Robertson on...

Tom Harvey's Predictions Continue; Scans American Football Conference by Tom Harvey Collegian Sports writer After last week's revue of the National Football Conference, 1 thought it would be only fair to give equal time to the A.F.C. So here are my fearless predictions on the 1971 football season. AFC East - 1. Baltimore — -Don- McCafferty, head coach. The Colts appear to be the team to beat in the AFC. . The offense is sound whether led by Earl Morrall or John Unitas. Bulaich and Matte lead the rushing crewwhile Hinton and Perkins head the receivers. A bruising defense led by the linebacking corps of Curtis, May and Hendricks, and the strong pass rush of Smith is one of the toughest in the circuit. The Colts should have no problems in the East and will probably be the AFC entry in the Super. Bowl. 2. Miami — Don Shula, head coach. The offense is centered around the rushes of Kiick and Csonka and QB Griese has a fine fleet of receivers headed by Warfield that he can fire to....

Behrend Booters Evens Slate 2-2 by Tony Alo Collegian Ass't Sports Editor The Behrend Campus soccer team broke even in its two matches on the road last week. Last Tuesday the Cub boosters invaded Fredonia State for a contest against the State junior varsity and found themselves on the short end of a 2-1 score. It was Joe Ingrassia's goal with 4 minutes left that made the difference and dropped the Cubs to a 1-2 score. It was Joe Ingrassia's goal with 4 minutes left that made the difference and dropped the Cubs to a 1-2 mark for the season. Hastings and Sanders also hit for the winners with Sanders collecting an assist. The New Yorkers zipped 27 shots at the Behrend goal while the Cubs managed 18. John Hoge, assisted by Bob Jeffery, collected the lone BC hit after Fredonia scored first. This lasted until Ingrassia connected. Ed Moore had 17 saves in another fine performance. Saturday, the Cubs visited conference rival " Altoona and blanked the down-starters 3-0. Jim Channus, Mi...
