Li *•. -. 8tu »t. «l0tt fattrwa W. MITCHELL. EDITOR. Thursday, Jan. 9, 1868. I A S So far ai people ingeneral know, there is no businees which should require the present Legislature to remain in session longer than thirty days. The less the statutes are tinkered with the better the estray law could be amended in a few days there would be time enough for feneing-in and fencing-out speeches tnd, transacting all necessary business, the Legislature could adjourn at theOssian end oi the first thirty days. This would be a considerable item ofeconomy, and in the present condition of affairs thetaxpayers of tho State call upon the Members to forego by at least half the full term allowed by law. Will the Legislature do this, or will it drag out the session to the last hour of the sixtieth day E E I O I A O N E N I O N A call has been issueisfor the Sec ond Annual Convention of the Editors and Publishers of Minn csota, to meet in St. Paul on the 21st.
