From authentic accounts, we scarcely doubt that a dreadful and desolating war tint already commenced between Russia and Turkey. What the end of it will be, and when it will terminate, no mortal can devise. If the Russian and Turkish forces engage in a single bloody conflict, genrral war must ensue, . and Europe again be drenched in blood. War, under all circumstances, is a great and fearful calamity, carrying terror, desola tion and frightful ruin in its course, yet we rannot say that we would be sorry to learn that Europe was shaken from centre to cir cumference by the roar of artillery and the ' crnsh of falling thrones.
