Ml# 10 SACH8E SENTINEL DECEMBER 1984 Area Deaths > . • Veteran Nonveteran Education | £ and Income Achievements Compared LILLIE MAY SALMON Lifelong resident of Sachse, Lillie May Salmon died Friday, November 23, 1984 at a Rockwall nursing home at the age of 96. Services were held Sunday, Novem- ber 25, at the First Christian Church of Sachse. Survived by one son, Bryan Salmon of Sachse, Mrs. Salmon was born September 11, 1888, in Sachse, was a homemaker and a member of Sachse Christian CHurch. Burial was at the Sachse Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jack Stewart of- ficiating. For the most part, male war veterans have higher personal income and higher educational attainment than their nonveteran counterparts but the differences have diminished over the years, according to a report compiled by the Veterans Administration. Pao« 14 SACHSE SENTINEL DECEMBER 1984 DONATION TO LIBRARY We should all be excited about the recent donation to the Sachse Library' from Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Miller of 6107 Anthony Lane. Thanks to their generosity, the library facilities now in- clude a TRS-80 computer with 48K total capacity. Along with the com- puter and expansion interface, the Millers donated a disk drive, cassette recorder, numeric keypad, printer and a desk to house the system. Norma Miller is a member of the Library Board, and both she and her husband are avid supporters of the Sachse Library. Mr. Miller is employed by Texas Instruments, as is their son, Darrell, 22, of Garland. They also have a daughter, Stephanie, 16. Mrs. Miller divides her time between her family and her job with Clyde Bailey, CPA.
