FOOTBALL ENTERTAINMENT. [Newspaper Article] — Healesville Guardian and Yarra Glen Guardian — 10 November 1899

FOOTBALL ENTERTAINMIENT. A full house greeted the performers in the minstrel entertainment on Fri day evening last, in Daly's Hall, under the auspices of tie Healesville Football Clubi. The performance was not up to the standard of previous entertain ments of the kind held ini Healesville; in fact, it. was the vapt of sufficient practice that caused the trouble. It would be well for the promoters of football concerts in f£ttige to remember their experience of 1899, and instead 6f having only four weeks' practice to increase it. to four months, and then tl$ere shidld 'iot be a repetition of Friday eveniig' s entertainment. We dd not say that the want of practice was at fault all through the 'entertain ment, as several individdal jerformers were quite up to date, as, to'e applause they .received amply demonstrated. The performers, with the exception of Messrs. Burt, M'S\weeney; ancd i'Rae, were all new to Healesvilie audiences, and soine promising singers were amongst them.' Ot?iing t...
