CABINET CRISIS IN FRANCE. London, October, 26. In the French Chamber of Deputies last night the sitting was of a tumultuous character. General Chaooine, Minister cf War, declared, amid vehement applause, that his predecessors and ho were the guardians of tho honor of the army. Tin thereupon resigned his office, and from the Tribune. A Demonstration followed upon General Chanoine leaving the Chamber. M. Brisson the Premier, then declared that General Chanoine was present when the Government decided to . refer the Dreyfus case to the Court of Cassation. The sittings of the | of the Chamber were then suspended for a time. On resuming, M. Brisson announced that although the resignation of General , Chanoine was of an irregular character it would be accepted, and an intrim Minister of War will immediately be apr.ointed. A resolution of confidence in the Ministry was | proposed by a supporter of the Government but was reitcted by 286 votes to 250.
