Watts' letter in the last number of your paper, where my name is mentioned in connection with certain Inquiries made at Clifton, for tlie purpose of asoertaining, whether the sheep depasturing then were in fected- with catarrh. The three ri.eep — the only suspicious ones which could be found amongst six flocks — -which I dissected and carefully examined were suffering from a severe cold, because all morbid appearances were limned to tbe nostrils alone. (From a Correspondent) These spirited races came off on the 27th and 28thy ul- timo, under the North Australian Jockey Club Rules and were very ably conducted by the following gentlemen:- A W.
