The South Australian Farmers Cg-ope rative Union (Dairy Produee Department) reports under date March 29th, as fol lows:— Butter.—Prices are again unchanged on the local market'this week. The week end cable from London states that after heavy buying the market In that centre is quiet, with New Zealand butter being re sold at 150/- per cwt. The Murray; Bridge bowling green was the scene of enthusiasm on Satur-. day last when Ave rinks* from Stra thalhyn and cne rink from Milang met; in friendly rivalry with the local re presentatives.' This is the first oc casion on which six rinks have played together on the Murray Bridge green, and the local club is' very much en thused at having sucn a fine green and having it filled with players in aj match for the first time in the history "! of the fclub.. DEATH OF MR., GEORGE HILL. Profound regret was felt by the re sidents of Murray Bridge on Sunday last when it was learned' that Mr. George HiQ bad passed away near midnight on Saturday in' his sleep. Mr. Hill who had been in business as a hairdresser at Murray Bridge for a number of years bad not enjoyed good bealtb tor a long time, and he had just disposed of his business and was look ing forward to a sea trip. He bad attended ihe polling booth on Satur day, and took a turn later in the day, but bis- death was not expected so suddenly. He left a widow and four children, three girls ° and a boy, to mourn their loss. 'The funeral took place on Monday at Murray Bridge cemetery, and a large number of resi dents attended to pay their last tri butes to deceased. Deceased was a member of tho Masonic craft and a large number of the brethren attended at the graveside, where the burial ser vice was read, by the Rev, A. B. Ere kine. The pal|-bearers were Messrs.
