CONFIRLATION.-IIis Lordship the Bishop of Melboirne will give, confirmation at St. Patrick's Church, Kilmore, on Sunday the 13th inst. - A CAPTrrE or ACCIDETS -It 1is an old pioiberlithat "misfortune never comes singly," and-it is, we regret to say, fully realised in the accidents that hate befallen the family of Mr. Parnell, Bootmaker, Sydney street, during the last week or so. On Saturday, the 21st ultimo, Mrs. Parnell died suddenly. while'.sitting at the breakfast table, and a- day or so after the remains were interred DMr. Parnell's oldest son, about fourteen years of age fell down and broke his arm. Road Board- for ~ertain monies which that body omitted: to hand over to the Common. Toll. Manager, to be distributed proportionately- between the various corporate bodies interested the same s all other toll money collected on the same line of road. The action is to, be brought on nominally- by the. Treasurer of Victoria against the Board named, but that gentleman is to be indemnified in the sum of £1000 against all costs that may be incurred in the action-the public bodies sueingbeing each joinfly or sepcrately bound to hand ov that maount to.the.
