DEATH OF THE PRINCESS ALICE. A Gazette Extraordinary announces that the Governor-in-Council has ordered :— 1. That Sunday, the 22nd inst., be observed as a day of general mourning in Victoria, and that the officers of the Government, and all others of her Majesty's subjects, be invited   to wear mourning in token of their sympathy with her Majesty in her great affliction. 2. That the flags on all the public build-   ings be hoisted half-mast high from eight a.m. until sunset on the above day. 3. It is requested that the flags on board of the ships in the harbor be similarly displayed on the same day. 4. The commandant of the local forces and   the senior naval officer are hereby commanded to cause thirty-five minute guns (correspond-   ing with the age of the illustrious deceased) to be fired on the above mentioned day ; the whole salute terminating at sunset.   The following general order was issued from Head-quarters...
