Mr. Fiejld, dated Paris, January 25, 1S48, addressed to Professor Mouse, now in London, announces an important and'gratifying fact. He says: " I find the name of your brother is quite famous here. - Mr. " Walsh, our Consul, pronounces his Magnetic Telegraph decidedly the greatest discovery of the age. He ttold me that the French .Academy accorded to him fully the honor of that discovery."
