The official majority in this county for the Copperhead ticket may be put down at 290, although their candidate for Clerk has only 276, hot another of their candidates has 203, which shows a Union gain since j last year of loA. There was a Union gam in every township except Bourbon, where , onr loss is 52. Had Bourbon even maintttined its former position onr gain wonld have been 200. The largest gain is in t!ii (Center) township, and the next largest m German. Tippecanoe and Walnut not only maintained their former prood positions bnt increased their majorities.
