WEEKLY CITIZEN. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 17. 1837 The question of female Bufferago is again agitating the Solons ot the Wash ington Territory legislature. About four years ago the advocates for woman's righti, managed to ret a law through the legislature, giring suffrage to the woman. But two years prBotical appli cation of the law, proved the country hardly eduoated up to such advanced theories, and the law was repealed. Now it is again introduced, but is meeting with such strong opposition on all sides, that there is little likelihood of its be coming o law. Hon. Wh. SPBisaKB has offered an amendment to house rule 26, paragraph 3, so as to read: The fourth Monday of each month, after the call of states and Territories, until adjournment on that day, shall, when claimed by the oom mltteeon Territories, be devoted tx olusiTely to the consideration ot busi ness presented by that committee, and any unfinished business remaining at the end of the day shall be in order until disposed of.
