Fuller, of the Second United States cavalry, v.-ith his troop, K, left the Presidio for field duly in Arizona, where ho has since been stationed. For the first four months after leaving the lieutenant -n-as v.-ith his troop, but soon after Gen. Miles FJcceeJed Gen. Crook, Tuller was assigned to special duty as acting signal service olliccr in the heliographic service of the army. To a reporter ho explained tho method of army signaling by moans of reflecting sunlight. Tho alphabet used is exactly the same as the Morse telegraph alphabet.
