ESSENDON V. ST. KiLDA. SECOND ELEVENS. A large crowd gathered on the St. Kilda ground last Saturday to Witness the finish of this match. The two St. Kilda batsmon, Zehorn (58) and Wool cott (12), resumeod their batting 'on a perfect wicket to the bowhng of VWheatley and Chollow. Both batsmen very soon collared the Essondon bowl ing, giving It splendid exhibition of correct oricket. After the first four' overs howled by the two opening bowl ors, it was apparent that a change was necessary, Lindell and Jacobson taking over the trundling. However, Zohorn, aftor making 143 in perfect style, was bowled by Jacobson. In cluded in his score were 15 foilrs and 7 threes. His partner, Wooleott, was disposed of by Lindell after making 43 runs. These two wickets wero obtained when the score stood at 223 runs. Smith, the next batsmen, was caught and bowled by Jacobsen when he had made 30 runs.
