The Congress is at- tracting considerable attention throughout India, and particularly in Calcutta, not only because this is the first time it has met in India-but on account of the importance and the great interest of the subjects to be discussed. Overseas Visitors The Congress will open its session on Monday, December 5, in the Cal- cutta University Senate House, at which His Excellency the Governor of Bengal will preside, in the un- avoidable absence of His Excellency the Viceroy.
