BOY SCOUTS it. The Liverpool Cub Park attended the first District cub jungle day arranged for King's Birthday up at Wallacia. The attendance was swelled to 52 by th* presence of Fairfield and Smithfield packs. Beginning with the Grand Bowl, the boys spent the day very happily in general cub work, games and inter-pack competitions. Scouts are showing great interest in the forthcoming soccer match against the Boys Club. Members of the troop are looking forward too. to the adoption of some of the new ideas brought back by the Scoutmaster and Assistant Scout- master from the school they liave re- cently concluded at Pennant Hills.

LIVERPOOL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE The ordinary monthly meeting of the above chamber was held in the School of Arts, on Wednesday, 18th Inst., the president (Mr. A. T. Murray) presiding. There was an average attendance and two new members, Messrs. M. Colreavy and W. Oreen were enrolled. With reference to the move inaugu- rated by this chamber to have the State Hospital inmates transferred to a more suitable site, it was decided on the motion of Messrs. Duckworth and Miller to inquire into the possibility of the in- mates from Liverpool being transferred to Lidcombe State Hospital. It was decided also that the Liverpool Council be again written to, requesting some improvement in the furnishings of the Town Hall. On the matter of sewerage, the cham- ber will request Mr. McGirr to use his influence to have this expedited.
