PLAYERS INJURED. [Newspaper Article] — Oakleigh and Caulfield Times Mulgrave and Ferntree Gully Guardian — 27 February 1915

PLAYERS INJURED. Two unfortunate accidents hap pened during the match Murrum beena v. Glen Huntly last Satur day at Murrumbeena. E. Cove, the Murrumbeena wicket-keeper, when attempting to take a fast rising ball, received it over the left eye and had to have five stitches inserted. E. Day, when batting, hit a fast ball just over his right eye and had to have three stitches inserted. Dr Atkinson attended both p!ayers. This accident was doubly unfortunate as it deprived Murrumbeena of Cove's innings and E, Day could not finish his hand, so their innings closed with 12 runs behind their opponents. However, they are both improving and hope to be in the field again this afternoon.
