CAMPAIGN AGAINST DIPHTHERIA MULLUMBIMBY ' S PART. MEETING HELD. At a meeting held on Tuesday Ttli inst. at the Council Chambers, Mul lumbimby, presided over by His Wor ship the Mayor (Aid. W. Arnold) members of the medical profession nr.d the District Rural School and Catholic Schools were also present. The correspondence which had been roeeivicd from the Director Geiioral of Public Health, was read and tho requirements of the scheme were out It was decided to send the forms to the schools within tho municipal ity and endeavour to have them sent to the parouts and returned in time for consideration by the Council on Monday night liezt. It is anticipated arrangemonts will be made for the treatment either at the council chambers or tho schools, full details of which will be available alter the matter has been dealt with by the council. E. Lee aiid G. D. James, the proceeds from which will be devotod towards defraying ex penses of the Anglican Ball. Progress bridge and mail jongg was played by the ladios, the winner of tho bridge prize being Mrs. J. Bassctt. A very dainty afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mcsdamps Tilghman, Kimpton, James, Lee, May, and Miss Thelma Franklin. Anstcy, one of Mullum biniby Rural School's first headmasters was unfortunate in contracting a chill whilst here for the Jubilee fes tivities and took, ill whilst the guest of Mi-, and Mrs. A. Cottee at Lis more. We arc pleased o learn that Mr Anstcy is now making satisfactory progress in a Lismore Hospital. Mr. H. Hayward, of Billinudgel, is not improved following his recant partial stroke. On Thursday evening last the mem bers of tho Methodist Church Choir,, at Mullumbimby, entertained Miss Dorccn Graham nt an ovening in the Parsonage, and presented licr with a gift as a mark of esteem and appreci tion of the splendid service rendered the Church as organist during past years.
