Defendant, who did not aprear, was fined £1 and 7/6 costs. A Row in the Yard. David Osborne sued W. Bloxham for. a week's wages (25/) in lieu of notice. BOY SCOUTS. On Saturday the First Ivanhoe troop iuct at:the troop-room under Scoutmas teis Wilson and Biges. After saluting the Hag and roll-chll, the troop, number ing; 23 members, marched to Ivanhoe grove, where a game of attack and de fence was played. Afterwards the troop had tea in the troop-room. A meeting was held at Scoutmaster Wilson's resi dence to draw up a programme for the month. The troop has secured the lease of some land from the railway depart ment on which to erect a new troop room.

Unveiling of Honor Board. ST. PAUL'S, FAIRFIELD. A congregation of over 400 attended the service at St. Paul's Church on Sun day morning, when the Honor Board was unveiled by the Vicar (Rev R. C. M. Long, Th.L.) Amongst those present were the Boys' Scouts, members of the St. John Ambulance, Hon. J. G. Mem brey, Crs. Coate, May, Stone, Hannah, Bryant, and the shire secretary.(NIr H. J. Price). After the anthem " God so loved the world," Mr F. Martin (church secretary) read the faculty from the Archbishop for the honor board, and the vicar unveiled it, dedicating it to the memory of those whose nemes it bore and to the glory of God.
