Scrofula, or King's EyII, is a constitutional disease, a corruption cf the Blood, by which this fluid • becomes vitiated, weak, and poor. Being hi the cireuUtioa, it pervades tho whole bo'dv, and may buret' cut in disease on any part cf it. Ko organ is free from, its attacks, nor is there one which it nisy not tiestrov. The scrofulous taint is variously caused by mercurial disease, low living, disordered or unhealthy food, impure an-, filth and- filthv habits tho depressing vice?, au<2,-abo-ve' all', by the venereal infection.
