Suiter, (pronounced by hmiseli footer.) this means, the fort hoariiiy his name, and a few facts in relation to the gold n-irinn. He is about 52 years of age, of middling hei g ht, straight form, and possesses that symmetry and sniallness of hand and foot which Lord Byron sets down as n sure, evidence of gentle blood. In manners and conversation, Capt. Sutter is a perfect Chesterfield ; he is well educated, and speaks several different languages fluently ; he i $ «a native of Switzerland, and was one of the officers of the Swiss Guard in the Revolution of July, during the reign of Charles X.
