'21? Charl.? McCormack, superintendent, and Melvin Becker, a miner, were killed shortly be f re noon today by an explosion in the Vindicator mine. Officers of the Vindi? cator mine assert that the explosion was cused Dy an infernal machine and four hundred militiamen have been placed on g'iard around the company's properties. Superindent McCormaok and Miner Backer were descending into the mine in the cage. Tbey were the only passengers.
