Tho elections held last week in Ver mont and California for Stato officers, members of the Legislature and Congress men resulted ia the utter rout of the Cop perhe&d ia both States. The Union ma jorities in both States are overwhelmingly largo, in tha latter from 20,000 to 30. 000 first reports say, and in the former as large as at any former election. The members of Congress elect are all Union men, and the Legislatures two to one Union in California and in Vermont near ly unanimous.
