And P'r'aps He'd Think Again. [Newspaper Article] — Bruthen and Tambo Times — 10 June 1914

And PVaps He'd Think Again. I'd love to pay the income tax, t I'd pay it with delight; I'd pile the stuff in precious stacks— I'd sit up half the night. I'd try to he the first to pay— I'd be it i£ I could; And then I'd go my cheerful way— -At least, I think I would. Of course, I'd want an income big—' So I could pay the more; The deeper down I had to dig The richer stream I'd pour. If I had coupons piled in racks, . "With millions to. the good, How joyously I'd pay the tax— At least, I think I would.

No Mora Indigestion. Wonders Achieved by New Prodact [Newspaper Article] — Bruthen and Tambo Times — 10 June 1914

i No Mora indigestion* J Wonders Achieved by New Prodact It seems reasonable to suppose that in a short time there will be no more indigestion or dyspepsia. The old style " digestives" such as bismuth, pepsine, charcoal, soda, etc., which after all are only temporary in their effects, are rapidly becoming discarded in favor of a simple antacid, known to chemists as bisurated magnesia, with the result that physicians are being called upon to treat fewer cases of stomach trouble than ever before. This is not so very surprising when it is remembered that, according to available statistics, over ninety per cent of all stomach troubles are due to acidity. Bisurated magnesia may readily be- obtain echfrom any chemist at a small cost, and halfrn-teasponful taken in a little water after meals will immediately neutralise all harm ful acids in the stomach, prevent fermentation, and thus render the food easy of digestion.

DOWNRIGHT HONESTY. [Newspaper Article] — Bruthen and Tambo Times — 10 June 1914

DOWNRIGHT HONESTY. "Downright honesty is hard to find," I exclaimed a pessimistic gentleman. A well-known literary lady replied, "I hope not. When you find it where you "expected to, it attracts no notice. It is a matter of course; and some times you find it when you are not looking for it. "Several years ago my husband and I were hunting for colonial landmark? in one of the oldest quarters of New York City, when we were attracted by a pretty display of lingerie and small silk goods in the window of a little haberdashery shop. We stopped to admire, and finally went in. The shop keepers were foreigners, a man and his wife. Their politeness their bro ken English, and their low prices were irresistible, and we made sever al purchases. " 'We sell cheap. It pay best—an' zare be only she an' me," the man said; and his wife echoed, 'are be only he an' me,' and went on with a path etic little story of the baby that died. 'But it be best.
