The Cause of Nail Spots [Newspaper Article] — Adelong Argus, Tumut and Gundagai Advertiser — 16 March 1925

The Cause of Nail Spots Authorities are inclined to differ as to the cause of nail spots, as well as on other questions. According to one authority, white spots on the finger nails represent flaws in the nutrition of the body. These flaws will always be found in cases of fever. They are evidences that for some reason nature has not done her duty in building up the nail. The nail is really a record of the life history, just as the hair is. Every hair is irregular in outline. A weak place here, a flaw there, repre sents the loss of a meal or a night's sleeplessness. If a man has had a . fe- ver, it is written in his hair, as well as upon his finger-nail.
