A TRAIN DESTROYED. 1 A telegraphio despatoh has just been received from South Africa statiug that the Boers on the western frontier of the Transvaal have destroyed an armoured train travelling between Mafeking and Vryburg, on the line of railway to Cape town. The Boers have commandeered 25,000 oz. of gold which was in transit. Colonel Baden- Powell has completed a reconnaisance in Matabeleland, and the forces under him are now entrenohed in a strong position.
