_Enolisr Provincialisms.—It were worth the while of one curious in such matters to _collect the provincialisms current in New England, and supposed to be native here. We find occasional note made of most of them as peculiarities in Europe. "Notes and Queries" quotes the word ' -gumption," signifying acutene_^s, as " still in use in the South of Scotland."
