The declaring of the regular dividend on the United States Steel Preferred set at rest many rumors and caused the stock to make a new high price for this year. The market certainly looks very strong; there Is evidence of public buying, small, to be sure, still It is visible. Bond houses report Increased sales of bonds and information from all over the country shows an Improvement In general business. We believe that, the tide has surely turned for the better. However we do not expect to see any great bull market this spring as the presidential election Is before us. and this alone generally unsettles the market to a certain extent.
