The spring term of the district court adjourned Saturday evening. Only one case was disposed of in which a divorce was granted. The parties were colored. Aarox Neelt colored had a horse killed "Wednesday night by a train on the Central track near West Mill creek and came to own to make affidavit Thursday preparatory to proving loss. Dueisq the term of the district court just closed the fines and for feitures imposed and collected will pay the expenses of the grand jury and petty juries in other words the court has become self-sustaining. There is talk of a committee of the city council being sent to Fort Worth soon to inspect the electric light system at that place with the view of having a plant put in here. LOCAL NEWS The Lutheran Syno.1. The Lutheran synod embracing the whole of the state will begin its annual session to-dav with the church of Rev. Frederick Jesse which is known as Salem church and is located four or five miles southwest of the city. Seyeral minis- ters of the denomination arrived in the citv yesterday to attend the synod and were met hero by Mr- Jesse and will be taken out this morning.
