Smart Styles For the Young Lady. ROGERS We are still selling $6.50 Kitchen Cabinets for $3.50 Better hurry they will soon be gone. Empire Furniture Co. The Man and His Pay. It is not the pay that make the man. A five-dol!ar-a-veek clerk can not be made into a fifteen-dollar clerk by merely raising his wages to that amount. It is the man that makes the pay. The fifteen-dollar man who started at five dollars will soon be up to a fifteen and by the time he gets there he will prob- ably be a twenty-dollar man. As a rule it is not difficult for one who is making a purchase n a store to tell the clerks who are working solely for what there is in it and those who are working with regard and a re- spect for their work. . It is scarcely more difficult to detect in an office or in a factory the men who are keeping the pay envelope right before their eyes to the exclusion of every- thing else.
