The Surveyor has been requested to report on the best site for a public well That there is nbun dance of water to be had by sinking almost anywhere within the boundary of the town bship is now clearly proved. The only mat ter to be considered is the best spot for iplacing the well, so as not only to make it *useful for the townspeople generally, but thatit may also with a force pump com mand the greater portion of the buildings in *case of fire.
