Fatal Accident in Thompson. la Thompson, ou Saturday morning last, jouog pita bj the name of Heddinger, came to bit death under the following dia treiilng circumstances: Ho had aiartod for Painosvillo with a load of lumber, sup posed to be about 1,200 foot. Whllo driv ing along, the lumber, by some means, got loum and. began to slide off tho wagon, the hones took fright and ran, and bo was un able to hold thorn or soouro tho lumber. The wagon was upset, and about half of the lumber thrown upon his body, almost entirely covering him from sight. HOME DEPARTMENT. Sudden Death. Oae of the most luJdtn deaths within our rccolleotion occurred near I he cen Ur of this township, at about 2 o'clock I'. M., on Monday last. Mr. Denjamin Hreckcuridge, while engaged in unloading n pilo of hay t his barn, fell instantly, nnl expired in a few minutes. His wife, w ho Lad been assisting him, called for hid, but those who heard her cries, and hurriod to the spot, found him dead. Mr. l'reckeuridge was G9 years of age, and Lad resided in this township for about ten years. lie formerly resided near Spring field, Mass. He was a very estimable citizen, and his sudden death is a great be reavement to bis family, and casts gloom over the entire community where he lived.
