T k s c r THE SUWAJTSEE DEMOCRAT FRIDAY NOVEMBER 8 1907 LOCAL NEWS 4ft From Fridays Daily W H Nevils one of our good farmers living about five miles south west of town on the Lancaster road left with the editor of the Democrat t a sweet potato that weighed five and onehalf pounds It is a splendid specimen of a good variety and shows again what can be done with f our Suwannee county lands under proper cultivation Mr Nevils has our thanks for this remembrance and best wishes for continued prosperity Mrs M A Avent who has for a many years lived in this county died at her home a few miles from the city yesterday and was buried today at Mount Beulah She was the widow f of the late T F Avent one of our oldest citizens Seven children four 4 boys and three girls all living in this section save one daughter who lives In Alabama are left to mourn her r departure Mrs Avent was a member of the Baptist church and was loved and honored by all who knew her Funeral services were held by Rev John Ho...
