It shows that 2,200 National Bunks have been organ ized sinee tho estititlishnicnt of the sys tem. They Rescued the Dog. Tbb other dar young man named Benjamin Mat-Lamer, on of the best nuntcrt in Morthumherlnnd County, made a remarkable rucape from a well into which he fell. This well la in the lower part of the town of Trevorton, near the old round-houae. Ho long a time has elapsed since it ha been In use that Ha existence waa almost forgotten. It it about eight feet wide and eighteen feet deep, and at the present time con tains ten feet of water. It was covered with plunk the day in question. Mac harrier started out in pursuit of game, ac companied by his dog, a valuable setter. His path lay near the old well, into which his dog had the misfortune to fall, through a hole caused by the decaying planks.
