Johnson authorizes the Union and American to say that he is not in the ring as an aspirant for the democratic nomina tion for the governorship. lie has, we suppose, come to the conclusion that two terms should be deemed sufficient to satis fy the ambition of any man, in that line; particularly when there -is a chance for promotion to the Senate of the United States.
