I'ocumwnl. October 6. The weather continues as dry as over, and , many are the hopes expressed for a good downpour of rain, without which the farm er's prospects are not very cheerful. The cricket season has commenced again, ana on oaiuruay inst a mnicn was piayca on the local ground between Sirntlimerton and Tocumwal. The local team won, the scores being— Strathmerton, ,108 for 5 wickets (innings declared closed) ; Tocumwal, 113 in 54 minutes with the loss of ono wicket.
