Latest Telegrams. QUEENSLAND. Parliamentary. - BKISBAXE, FEIDAY. In the Assembly yesterday Mr. Cross's Abolition Wages Attachment Bill was again talked out. A motion by. Mr. Castling . was passed with the approval of the Government affirming it desirable to reduce the rate of interest on Muni cipal and other loans from 5 per cent to 4 per Cent. Mr. Pliilp hinted that effect would be given to the motion this session. In the evening good progress was made with the Mining Bill, and no amendments of vital importance were made when the House rose at 10.45 p.ni. Clause 53 was reachod, Mr. Butlodge is now visiting Roma from' where it is understood he . has received an influential requisition to allow himself to be nominated for the Maranoa electorate. Mr. Batledge has not yet replied to the request.

Suspicion of Forgery and Uttering; John Alexander Martin - was remanded from Tbargomiudah for nttt-rin,' a cheque for £3 l&s. The depositions taken before the P.M. at Tharsomindah being read in court the defendant a as remanded for eight days. Disorderly Conduct: Charles Porter fhalf-caste) pleaded, guilty and was fined 10). in default 14 days in the cells. The same defendant was charged with having property reasonably suspected of having being stolen in his posseesion. Mr. "Aeschimann proprietor of the Char?C?>H° Hotel identified a plated cup as his property the same being found on the accused. The accused was sentenced te 3 poontbs hard labour in Roma Gaol.

Drunkenness: Fonr drnnfcs pleaded gnflty ; two were nominally fined, and the cithers discjarged with a caution. Forgeiy and Uttering: Joseph Dowling on remand from the 10th instant, was committed for trial at the next sittings ^of the District Court to be held ac Chsirle ville. The same defendant was also com mitted for trial on a similar chargo, also on a charge of larcony.
