Wyalong Police Court. Fui day, September 7tii., 1894. (Before Jas. Baker, Esq., J.P.) Saraeh Battle v. 1. H. Beattie. Mr. Dighton for plaiutiff. This was a case of chid desertion, in which defeudannts wife applied for sup port for her sis cliildrcn. Defendant asked for a postponement for 14 days, as he was not prepared to meet tho case. Mr. Dighton said that an order had open nincto last year ror del per week, aud that tliey now claim 30s. per week. Defendant said that no working man j could pay 30s. per week. He would l* willing to take charge of the chilereu. Defendant consented to an order for 25s. per week, on conditions that the first payment should not be enforced for 3 weeks. £2 2s. professional eo»t- and costs ot court allowed.
