LOYAL JUBILEE LODGE P- good muster of members were present at the usual fortnightly meeting of the L,oyal Jubilee Lodge No. 6735, MU.I.O.O.F., last Wednesday week. Three new members were initiated and one proposed. The secretary announced that he had received word that Eros Ranicin, Hunter and Morgan were going to the war with the Expeditionary Force. The an nouncement was received with mingled feelings of pride and regret. After the ordinary Lodfie business had been disposed of, an adjournment was made to carry out the syllabus, a euchre tourna ment, 26. members competing. The inner proved to be E. Wat son who played W N. Dwvies off for the prize. Next meeting nighi (iyVednesdayJ-a ship quoits compe lition will be held, and as this is a game that all can play_ a record entry is expected. '

A., was shot off on local mina ture range and resulted- in a win for Yarraville by 2 points- Next syllabus item, indoor sports, for L dge trophy. All members are invited to take part.

IN THE EVENING. At night, a torchlight procession marched through the streets, while at the reserve a varied program was submitted. This included a patriotic selection by Massed Bands a physical display, by senior cadets Highland dancing, Royal Electric Biograph pictures, phsical display, patriotic fantasia, "The Life of a Soldier," by Footscray Band, ath letic display, exhibition of fancy dancing, the destruction of 'Mo desty' Cottage by. the Darktown Fire Brigade, while the Footscray Cruiser, built by the employes of Messrs D, Richardson and Sons, created much interest, and was regarded as one of the main at . tractions of the Carnival.
