THE RIVER MURRAY. [Newspaper Article] — The Mount Barker Courier and Onkaparinga and Gumeracha Advertiser — 25 March 1927

THE rWeR MURRAY. A correspondent writes:-^"! shall ho glad if any of your readers can enlighten me us to how (he twain of The River Murray originated. This would lie interesting in view of the ap proaching Sutrt^ C'ehi «-naiy eislfcforu tion." Alexander Hume, the leader of -the expedition in 1824, discovered l)ie river • which he named after himself. THE ROYAL VISIT. CATERING FOR COUNTRY FOLK. [Newspaper Article] — The Mount Barker Courier and Onkaparinga and Gumeracha Advertiser — 25 March 1927

THE ROYAL VISIT. CATERING FOR COUNTRY FOLK, j . Ill connection with the forthcoming visit to Adelaide of their Royal High nesses the Duke and Duchess uf York, the country resident is just as desirous as is his city cousin of showing his loyalty to the throne. But, whereas the latter is domilciled within easy distance of the scene of festivities, and is not concerned with accommo dation worries, the first consideration of the visitor from the country is to | find suitable quarters. Some, i doubt, will have taken precautions to book ahead, and others have relatives or friends on whom they can rely. Nevertheless, there will be a big contingent who will find it a difficult matter to secure temporary habitation. Realising that the unusual influx is liekly to cause congestion, a com mittee of citizens, under the chairman ship of the Lord Mayor of Adelaide (Mr. Wallace Bruce), with the Director of the Government Tourist Bureau (Mr. Victor H. Ryan) as secret tary, has been appointed by a Ca...

DULL TEETH Gear tip, Shine like Jewels Get Pepsodeni — Work* wonders bp clearing film coat fram teeth TEETH seldom are naturally "off color." Host often they're merely coated with a film that forms on teeth and which absorbs discoloratfons from food, smoking, etc. By clearing it off, one's whole appearance may be changed. Old-type dentifrices failed to re move that film successfully. That's why brushing has failed you. Now leading dentists urge the special film-removing dentifrice, Pepso dent, for this purpose. Results are quick and surprising. Film coats go. Teeth whiten; sparkle like jewels. Bacteria that thrive- in film are combated; tooth decay, gum troubles and pyorrhea thus scientifically fought, flat Pepsodent now from any daalar. Made in Auttralia. 1W8
