A COMPASSIONATE JUDGE Our readers will remember the . cattle stealing case in September last at Moss Vule wheu James Thomas Dillon, oalling himself a cnttlo dealer, was cap'.uied by the clever ness and smurtnoss of pur police. Ho had nttaohed his ownership to 2 cows of Mrs. E Baxter of Burrawaiig, some also of Mr. li. Turnbull, E. Moses of Wild's Meadow, Georere Buruiv of Robertson, and Messrs, H.Taylor and Hoaro of Moss i'Vale. Od Friday last Dillon was tried before Jud.e Forbes at the Cootamundra Quarter Sessions and pleaded guilty. Mr. Mason (iustruc'.od by Mr. Morgan) appeared for prisonor.
