Launders, one of the island's -well-known and prosperous farmers, passed away at his home Wednesday :afterenoon of last week. The funeral -was held Saturday. Mr. Launders lost his sight four year ago while blasting and although every «ffort was made to restore his sight it was of no avail and death came as a welcome relief to him. His illness •was felt greatly by his wife and her 1 althful service to him commanded the Tespect of all the island people. Besides his wife lie leaves seven •children to mourn his death: Ed- •ward, Walter and Silas and four -daughters, Nellie, Gertrude, Mabel and Tearl. Walter,\" Mabel and Pearl are at home. AH the children were in at- tendance at the funeral with the ex- ception of Nellie who is in Chicago.' One brother, Charles of Fond du Lac, •was also here for the funeral. .
