Tue Slavery Agiiatlen—Presidential Aspirants—the Soutli. To a close observer of politieal i movements, the present aspect ot the slavery agitation, in connection with Presidential aspirants, and the South, is pregnant with deep interest. lion. ObtM Wllmoi. We give in aiotbcr column an' interesting communication under this heady from tbe Wilkesbairc Fttrmcr. It places in the right position the coui-se of Mr. Wilmot, which oth-i ers have sought to misrepresent. The fact isj Mr. Wilmot was to be immolated on the altar of Slavery, by sane leading politicians who have an axexto grind, and Wanted the Sb^h to turn. He may possibly be sacrificed to that policy which forfeits principle to self-aggrandizement,' but the principle will live, although trodden down for a time, and will ultimately triumph, Does any one suppose that the feeling which exists against jtbe extension ofjSlavery can expire or diminish;?
