News o( a most remarkable occurrence comes from Heaver county. At the town of Grand, the Baptist congregation Is bulluiiiff a spire 75 feet high. On Fri day James Ford and Harry Somers, painters ucro employed to oil and paint tlio splro. They began working from the bottom to the top, using cir cular scaffolding. While Somers and Ford ucro pivlnp the finishing touches to tho top of the splro a thunderstorm carao up. accompanied by tierce flashes of lightning.
