A SHOE FACTORY DOES Inventory Shows Value of Year's Product Will Reach That Amount. EMPLOYEES NUMBER 450 Nearly Twice as Much Work Done in the Summer as in Wintei. The volume of business done by the Columbia shoe factory for the jear which will end December 1, 1910, will iu all probability exceed 1 million dol lars. This developed at the semi-annual inventory of the factory held last week. The amount of business done the last six months there is far in excess of that of the same period of the preceding year. It amounts to $'J87.277.2ri. For the same period last year it w as only ?277,rr:.2S, showing a gain of more than 100.000. According to V. T. Stephenson, man ager of the factory, this rate of in crease means the books will show a volume of business of more than a million dollars at the end of this year He says that the business done...
