Stop Killing Yourself Watch your elbow: if might get sideswiped KEEP LEFT ELBOW IN WHEN DRIVING do you sit behind the wheel of your car? So relaxed you almost feel as If you were' lounging on a chair in your living room? Chances are that when you assume this comfortable position your left elbow is sticking way out the open window of your car. Although there is little likelihood that your left elbow will be i the taget of another car, it happens too frequently to disregard the warning: When you drive, keep your left elbow inside. In a recent issue of the Journal Of the American Medical Association, Drs. Otto E. Aufranc, William N. Jones and William H: Harris of Boston write of such an accident. Thqir paper is CB’'ed "Sideswipe Injury to Left Elbow.” The case history, in part: "A 43-year-old lawyer sustained a ’sideswipe’ injury of the left elbow. He had been driving his ear yvith his loft elbow protruding through Vie open window wheh hit elbow was struck by a passing car.” He deceive...

Nevertheless, its originators will agree, I think, that inexperienced personnel should guard against errors in Judgment and technique. It is natural for thousands ot ulcer patients to react with over-enthusiasm for any method that will do away, in a few hours, with months and years of careful dieting and other restrictions. But time usually brings things into dearer focus. Although gastric freezing is still Indicated in the management of ulcer (especially the duodenal rather than the gastric type) 1 think that ulcer patients had better stick to their previous ...
