FOOTBALLERS' BALL The Footballers' Ball held at the Shire Hall, Alexandra, on Friday night last was a prounced success from-every viewpoint. From a bad start, Alexanfdra Foot ballers went onto much bCtter things in the second innings; but, alas, too late, as Marysville gained the verdict on the first innings, by 63 runs. The Footballers' batsmen failed la •mentably in the first-essay;-R: Smith (10 not out) and M. McCarthy (4) being the top scorers in a total of 26. S.
