Landlords and Tenants Claims for Re-Possession TWO ORDERS TO QUIT Two applications under the Defence (Transitional Provisions) Act, 1947 and the National Security (Landlord and Tenant) Regulations for the re possession of dwellings in Geraldton were heard by the resident magistrate (Mr. T. Ansell) in the Geraldton Local Court yesterday. In each case an order was made out for the reposses sion of the premises concerned by the applicants. In opening the proceedings in the case in which Leslie Alfred Sheehau, waterside worker, applied for recovery of possession of a house owned by him at Chapman Road, Bluff Poiut, and occupied by Joseph Allender, Mr. C. E. Stow, who appeared for Sheenan, explained that the case was one in which there was hardship on both sides, in that each of the parties was faced with the problem of not having a roof over his head. More than -'»00,-XHi people yesterday waited in a queue several miles long to pass the bier of the late Czech Foreign Minister, Mr. Jan Mararyk, familiarly known as 'Houza.'' Peasant women with black shawls across their shoulders, uniformed offic ials and family groups saw Masaryk's body dressed in a blue business suit on a simple bier in Czerniu Palace. Officials stopped trying to close the doors of the Palace at the specified time, because there was still a huge crowd outside. R. Abbott) aud the member for Geraldton (Hon. E. H. Hall, M.L.A.). Opening of the Season STRICT SUPERVISION About thirty-five local fislifng boats will bo employed as catchers, while a, further five will be employed as carry ing vessels, when the crayfishing sea son in waters in the vicinity of the Abrolhos Islands opens on Monday. The relieving fisheries insitector sta tioned at Geraldton (Mr. J. Traynor) will leave Geraldton early to-morrow morning to supervise the commence ment of operations. The fact that five vessels, the 'Bat- avia Road,'' 'Australis,' 'Necede,' ??Suoiui' aud ''Maori Lass' will be utilised as carrying vessels this season will obviate interruption to the. work of tbe catchers, who were previously required to return to port with their hauls.
