King Cotton. By a misprint in yesterday's PBESs,we were made to quote the London Times as saying that, if Secession succeeded, such a break in cotton-produce might , take place as would leave a trade of §40 , 000, 000 to such fortunate parties as mignt be sufficiently alert to pick it up.- What the Times did say was, that .£40,000,000 was so situated ; the difference between a pound sterling and our own " al* mighty dollar" is so great as to make ther wrong quotation serious. Therefore_^ we here correct it. Having thus been brought back to the subject, we avail onrself of the opportunity to draw attention to a very remarkable article in a well-informed English newspaper, the Liverpool Daily Post of January 23. It has been stated, over and over again in English journals, arid, lately, in the London Times and Manchester Examimry that 4,000,000 persons, or one-sixth of the whole popnlation of Great Britain, (Ireland, as havtog scarcely any cotton factories, not being coated in,) is...
